How do I get back to my natural (black) hair color?

I dyed my hair 6 months ago using a permanent dark brown. My black hair is growing out with the roots showing. How do I get my natural black hair back? I'm thinking of dying it w/ a SEMI PERMANENT darker brown or black..but will it come off after I SHAMPOO it a few times or would it just fade?? Should I dye it or let it grow? Any suggestions..I want my black hair back and I will never ever dye my hair again but I DON'T want to cut it!! Thanks..How do I get back to my natural (black) hair color?
Get a hair dye that matches your natural black hair (permanent) with a good brand like Loreal Paris Natual Match, and the dye your hair back. i had a lot of blond in my hair and i wanted my natural brown back so what i did is i died it a really dark brown and kept dying it until my hair grew out. In your case, dye it black and wait until your hair grows out. its really the only way.
No matter what you do it will take awhile to get back to all your natural color, it will cost significantly More to go to salon and have them dye your hair.





any dye even if it is permanent will fade and ';wash out';. Your best bet is to do what everyone said and get a semi permanent that is close to you natural color, or even try a color rinse both of which will be very gentle on you hair.





If you are dyeing you hair and get the dye on your skin it will stain. Think about it a bit , you want this stuff to stay in your hair till it grows out so it has to be strong. If you are dying your hair yourself wear old clothes and get as little on your skin as possible ( this is easier if you have a Friend help) then if you get dye on your skin wipe it off as soon as possible. The dye will fade off of your skin and if you get it right away it wont stain.
