How to dye natural black hair to brown ?

so i have black hair i was wondering can i just buy a medium brown box of hair dye, will it show up or do i have to buy a lighter brown box of hair dye to get a medium brown tone?


i don't want to bleach my hair, and i've tried putting lemon in my hair %26amp; it doesn't work. %26amp; i rather not go to a salon. please help .best answer gets 10 points :)How to dye natural black hair to brown ?
well i'm asian and i've went from natural black to brown, and eventually to blonde with light brown highlights. they had to bleach my hair because my hair was so dark....however, my mexican friends can dye their hair from black to brown without bleaching...so i think it depends on ur hair type. if you dont wanna go to a salon, i suggest you buy light brown and dye it yourself to see if it will show on your hair. if it doesnt work then you will definately have to bleach it.How to dye natural black hair to brown ?
Natural hair can lift up to 5 levels. It will probley turn around a dark brown, if your lucky a little lighter. But it will lift to a brown.
