Yah. I have the same problem. I want to get highilghts but I'm hesitant to use bleach cuz I hear its harmful for your hair. Sorry, I can't really help you because I'm not sure what to do myself...
Reds or blondes do some research before you get it done though.
my hair is black and i never bleached it i use honey blonde and it shows up just fine
